-Thomas Grant was born on 12 February 1601 in Hassle, Yorkshire, England. He married Jane Haburne. They migrated with four of their children on board the ship “John of London” to Salem, Massachusetts arriving in December of 1638. They then settled the new town of Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts, BNA. They were one of 20 families collected by Reverend Ezekiel Rogers to establish Rowley.
Their daughter Ann Grant married Robert Emerson in 1655.
