Notes for Captain Abraham Bennet - Direct Ancestor
Before the REvolutionary War Abraham Bennett, senior, sold his land in Ridgefield, Fairfield, Connecticut and crossed the Hudson River. By 1775 he and his son Abraham were living in the town of Warwick, Orange County, New York after periods in New Jersey and northern Pennsylvania. He is listed with his son Abraham receiving pay for military service as late as 1777.
