- son of Jan and Lizabeth (Peters) Huyck, was of New Amsterdam, Kinderhook and Albany. He was the owner of a large estate at Kinderhook, New York, which he obtained by a patent from King James II., dated March 14, 1636, and much of this is still in the possession of a descendant. Andries Hanse and his wife were among the first members of the old Dutch church in Albany, mentioned in 1683, all previous records of this church being lost. He made his will, August 23, 1707. His wife was Cathalin Lammerse Van Valkenburgh, of Kinderhook, who was living in 1705 and is mentioned in his will with ten children:
