Received Protection on 24 January 1277 from the King in anticipation of going to Wales. In November 1276 war had been declared with Wales, King Edward I invaded with approximately 15,000 men. There was no major battle, Llywelyn agreed to the Treat of Aberconwy in November of 1277.
Witnessed the charter of Thorton Abbet on 25 March 1278.
Went overseas to Paris with the King on 26 April 1286. King Edward brokered a peace between between France and Aragon on that trip.
Went overseas with Johnn de Saint John on 26 August 1293.
Was Commissioner and Justice of gaol delivery in Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshre and Derbyshire at various times from 1289.
