It is suggested in Recusant History, Volume 8, No. 4, January 1966 in the article “The Reports of William Udall, Informer, 1605-1612, Part I , P.R. Harris”, page 206: that William Udall had a second wife, who according to Julius Ceasar in 1608 was a dealer in Catholic books. Mrs Udall of Gunpowder Alley died a violent death, being killed with more than ninety other persons in October 1623 when the floor of the room in Blackfriars in which Father Robert Drury, S.J., was preaching collapsed.
