Notes for Thomas Easton - Direct Ancestor
Thomas Easton’s ancestors were Weavers by trade. They had been forced to flee from Antrim County in Ireland in 1641 bevause of the rebellion started by Sir Phelim O’Neill. Their grandson David Easton died at Hyndford, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1759. His son Mathew was also a weaver who lived in Harperfield and Kirkfield and died in Crossford in the parish of Lesmahagow.
