Notes for Frances Baker - Direct Ancestor (Family North American Pioneer)
-Frances Baker is first recorded in New England on 1 June 1641 when he was permitted to dwell in Yarmouth. He settled near Follens Pond, at the head of the Bass River, in Nobesussett Territory, but within the bounds of Dennis. At that time the first Europeans house there was less than 2 years old. On 17 June 1641 he married Isabel Twining in Yarmouth 1641. They were Puritans. In 1658 he had a grant of 10 acres of land in Eastham, Massachusetts close to his father-in-law William Twining, but soon sold it and moved back to Yarmouth.

Their daughter Elizabeth Baker married John Chase, son of William Chase junior and unknown wife. Frances and Isabel’s son William Baker married Mary (Mercy) Lawrence, daughter of George Lawrence and Elizabeth Crisp.
