Notes for Sergeant Robert Lockwood - Direct Ancestor (Family North Anerican Puoneer)

-Sergeant Robert Lockwood arrived in the Massachusetts Bay Colony probably in 1633 and possibly with his brother Edmund in 1630. He was designated a “freeman” at Watertown on 9 March 1637. He married Susannah Norman in about 1633 or 34. Jonathan, his son was born in Watertown on 10 September 1634. In 1646 he moved to Stamford and to Fairfield in 1650. On 21 May 1657 he was appointed Sergeant of the Fairfield Train Band.

Their daughter Sarah Lockwood married Lieutenant Abraham Adams. In the next generation their daughter Deborah married James Bennet.
